The Legal 500’s researchers speak to our clients privately, without us listening in. Here’s what they heard.
Every year, The Legal 500 asks clients and other lawyers what they really think of the firms they work with. We don’t see those conversations. We find out what was said when the rankings are published, the same as everyone else.
This year, Murrells is recommended across five practice areas, and it’s our third year running in The Legal 500. Here’s what our clients said.
Corporate and commercial. Henry Maples retains his top rank of leading individual. Henry heads our corporate team and Rebecca Anforth our commercial team. Eve Wright is recommended. Client comments include praise for the team as“they know their regional economic market very well indeed”.
Commercial property. David Williams is named a next generation partner for the fourth successive year and was described as “hugely knowledgeable and very proactive”.
Employment. Mel Rowe is recommended for her work across tribunal claims, corporate support and HR advice, with Luke Smith noted for the employment side of commercial deals. One client summed the team up as “extremely knowledgeable: responsive to business needs”.
Energy and projects. Jenny Harbord and Caroline Daly are both recommended and clients value our “exceptional expertise and client-first approach”.
Intellectual property. Also ranked across the whole South West. Rebecca Anforth is again named a Leading Partner and heads a team clients describe as “personable, calm and thorough”.
David Williams, partner and head of commercial property, said:
“Everything in The Legal 500 comes from what our clients and peers tell the researchers, which is exactly why it means so much to us. Thank you to everyone who took the time to engage to them.”
